ABOUT THE CHEF

RICARD OLIVÉS, A PASSIONATE OF GASTRONOMIC INNOVATION

Ricard Olivés has been drawing inspiration from the great chefs of the world for more than 15 years. During all this time he has also acquired knowledge and experience cooking in restaurants such as the Hotel Pirineus in Figueres, the Emporium in Castelló d’Empuries or the Casino Perelada, where he learned from chef Joan Moreno, whom he also admires.

He currently enjoys his passion, which is gastronomic innovation, through signature cuisine, which allows him to innovate day after day without limits.

Using local and seasonal produce, which he believes is the best way to have the ingredients freshest and at their optimal ripeness, he offers customers visiting Express 1961 a careful selection of innovative and quality dishes.
